Ergonomic office chair solutions for distributors, projects and private labels

From September 8 to 11, 2026, the OFCJNS team exhibited at the 31st China International Furniture Expo at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. At Booth E5D35, we met office furniture buyers, importers, project suppliers, product development teams and distributors from Europe, South Asia, Southeast Asia and other markets.

The four-day exhibition gave us a practical view of what international buyers now expect from an office chair supplier. Price remains important, but buyers are also comparing adjustment functions, long-term durability, packaging efficiency, test documentation and the factory's ability to support product customization after the first order.

Ergonomic chairs for different market positions

At the show, we introduced ergonomic mesh chairs and office seating solutions for several price and application levels. The configurations included adjustable headrests, lumbar support, seat-height adjustment, reclining and locking mechanisms, multi-dimensional armrests, breathable mesh, molded-foam seat options and selected models with footrests.

For distributors and project buyers, one chair design often needs more than one commercial configuration. A value-oriented version may use a nylon base and essential adjustments, while a higher configuration may add seat-depth adjustment, an aluminum base, upgraded armrests or a more advanced mechanism. Our role is to help the buyer choose a configuration that fits the target retail price, user expectations and container plan.

What international buyers asked at our booth

The most useful conversations were specific. Buyers asked how a chair supports the waist during long working hours, whether the backrest and seat can be adjusted for different users, and how each mechanism changes the function and price. They also asked about carton dimensions, gross and net weight, 40HQ loading quantity, mixed-container orders, sample preparation and production lead time.

OEM and private-label questions were equally important. Many customers want an existing, proven model with their own color, woven label, logo, manual or carton design. Starting from an existing platform usually reduces development time and makes the first test order easier to control. When a project needs deeper changes, our team can review the mechanism, armrests, base, upholstery and packaging as a complete configuration rather than treating each part separately.

Quality that buyers can verify

OFCJNS prepares quotations against a defined product configuration. Relevant product series can be supported with BIFMA X5.1 test documentation, and final specifications are confirmed through the sample, order specification sheet and sales contract. This matters because a test report should match the chair platform and configuration being discussed instead of being used as a general marketing label.

Durability also affects the commercial value of a chair. A stable frame, suitable gas lift, reliable mechanism, quiet casters and replaceable components can reduce returns and after-sales costs. For a distributor or project supplier, these details influence customer satisfaction long after the container arrives.

Factory support for B2B chair programs

Foshan OFC Furniture Co., Ltd. was established in 2017. Our 15,000-square-metre production base has about 65 employees and a monthly capacity of up to 12,000 chairs. We operate dedicated mesh-chair and leather-chair production lines and offer more than 60 product models with over 100 configuration combinations.

Our main export markets include Europe, North America and Australia. We work with distributors, office furniture dealers, project suppliers, commercial buyers and e-commerce brands. Standard orders generally start from 30 chairs per model and color, while mixed-container and customized projects are reviewed according to the selected models, packaging and production schedule.

From the exhibition to the next project

Furniture China 2026 helped us understand which product details matter most in different markets. Some buyers focus on a competitive mesh chair for retail. Others need a higher-capacity chair, a specified test standard, a private-label package or a coordinated range for office projects. These requirements cannot be answered by sending one price list to every customer.
